Christian Campfire fun for 4th grade

Campfire Singing and Dancing through California History

Dancing, Singing, Skits and Stories are all part of the overnight experience for your fourth grade class.

After a full day of fun, learning and adventure, we settle in for a time of fun and worship. A band will join us and we'll sing and dance some folk dances like the Virginia reel, as we join in on the campfire fun. One of our living history guides will then lead us into a time of worship with a story/devotional as we focus our day back on our savior Jesus Christ.

We'll sleep the night away in the great outdoors (life was rustic in 1854, but you are welcome to bring and sleep in a modern tent if you wish), as we put away memories of the fun day in history we had and look forward to the fun day planned for tomorrow.

2 Night Camp out

For our two night trip, the second night of campfire is similar to what you might have experienced during your gold rush wagon train travels to the Bear Flag Republic or California Republic. Without a professional band to lead the entertainment, we will all contribute to the campfire festivities. Individuals and groups will share stories, skits, songs and poems as we express ourselves through our own personal creativity.

Our staff will help each group create a fun skit to share at campfire, so you don't need to prepare your students with skits before hand. But if you have time in your lesson plan to prepare something, it will make your campfire program that much more personal and memorable.
